The Social Justice Tradition expresses the themes of justice, compassion, and peace. It emphasises wisdom and lovingkindness to bring relationships into harmony, unity, and balance, even within our relationship to nature. Compassionate Life takes place in all arenas of life, from personal to social to global. As with the other traditions, the actions we take are not the end goal. True compassion is motivated by a genuine heart, is empowered by the love of God, and embraces the possibility of positive change.

Evangelicals for Social Action — An association of Christians promoting the engagement, analysis, and understanding of major social, cultural, and public policy issues by emphasizing the need for the transformation of human lives through personal faith and commitment to social and economic justice as an outgrowth of Christian faith.

Habitat for Humanity — Utilizing a volunteer-driven construction model and working with people in need regardless of race or religion, this nonprofit, ecumenical Christian ministry was founded on the conviction that every man, woman, and child should have a decent, safe, and affordable place to live.

JustFaith Ministries — Using primarily a 28-week transformational curriculum for discovering the intersection of spirituality and action, JustFaith Ministries aspires to enable people of faith to develop a passion for justice, to express this passion in concrete acts of mercy, and to expand the work of social ministry in their faith communities.

Opportunity International — Provides opportunities for people in chronic poverty to transform their lives by working with indigenous partner organizations that provide small business loans and other financial services, training, and counsel to create jobs, stimulate small businesses, and strengthen communities among the poor.

Sojourners — Through print and web-based publications, public teaching, and community organizing, Sojourners articulates the biblical call to social justice, inspiring hope and building a movement to transform individuals, communities, the church, and the world.
